Apple’s first folding iPhone is NZ$4,199 and on sale from the 23rd of October. Here’s every NZ price, what the telcos are knocking off, and the eSIM detail that catches people out.
The iPhone Duo NZ price starts at $4,199 for the 256GB model and climbs to $6,599 if you want 2TB. It went up for pre-order on the 17th of October 2026 and is available from Friday the 23rd, through Apple NZ, the big retailers and all three telcos.
Apple announced the Duo back in September, so this isn’t the piece about what it is or how it stacks up against the folding Androids. This is the buying guide, with every NZ price, every telco deal we could verify, and the detail about eSIMs that’s going to catch a few people out.
The iPhone Duo costs NZ$4,199 (256GB), NZ$4,599 (512GB), NZ$5,399 (1TB) and NZ$6,599 (2TB) at Apple NZ, PB Tech, Noel Leeming and JB Hi-Fi. It’s available in New Zealand from the 23rd of October 2026. Spark is taking $900 off on an eligible plan, 2degrees is advertising up to $2,000 off with a trade-in, and One NZ is running Phone Dollars offers. It’s eSIM only, with no physical SIM tray.

Apple sells the Duo in four storage sizes and two colours, Star White and Night Sky, and the colour doesn’t change the price.
iPhone Duo storage | NZ RRP (inc GST) |
|---|---|
256GB | $4,199 |
512GB | $4,599 |
1TB | $5,399 |
2TB | $6,599 |
There are two official accessories if you want to protect it. The iPhone Duo Case is $149 in navy blue or sand, and the Folio with Kickstand is $249 in navy blue or taupe. If you’re new to Apple One, or coming back after a break, you also get three months of it free.
For a sense of where this sits, the cheapest Duo costs $1,850 more than an iPhone 17 Pro, and it’s a long way above the Galaxy Z Fold8 range that Samsung has been selling here since August. You’re paying to be first in Apple’s lineup, not for value, and Apple knows it.
This is where the price actually moves, because all three carriers have come out with something. The offers below were correct on the 20th of October 2026 and they will change, so treat this as the starting point and check the live listing before you sign anything.
Spark has the easiest offer to understand. Pre-order the Duo on an eligible plan and Spark takes $900 off across your interest-free term, which brings the 256GB model down from $4,199 to $3,299. Over 36 months that’s $88.89 a month after a $99 deposit, or $133.34 a month if you’d rather be done in 24. Spark will also give you up to $1,160 for a trade-in on top of that.
2degrees has the biggest number on the banner, up to $2,000 off over a 36-month interest-free term, but read the fine print before you get too excited. To get the full $2,000 you need to be on an $80 Pay Monthly plan and trade in an iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB. Trade in anything less and the saving shrinks with it.
One NZ does it through Phone Dollars. The Duo is listed from $113.88 a month on a 24 or 36-month term after a $99 deposit, and how much you save depends on the Phone Dollars already sitting in your account. One NZ has advertised a couple of different “save at least” figures, so check your own balance rather than trusting the banner.
Retailer or telco | 256GB price | Deal conditions |
|---|---|---|
Apple NZ | NZ$4,199 | RRP, free delivery, 3 months Apple One |
PB Tech | NZ$4,199 | RRP |
Noel Leeming | NZ$4,199 | RRP |
JB Hi-Fi | NZ$4,199 | RRP |
Spark | NZ$3,299 effective | $900 off over interest-free term with eligible plan, $99 deposit |
2degrees | Up to $2,000 off | $80 Pay Monthly plan plus iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB trade-in, 36 months |
One NZ | From $113.88/month | Phone Dollars savings, 24 or 36 months, $99 deposit |
The trade-off is the usual one. Every telco discount turns an outright purchase into a two or three-year commitment, so if you’re already on one of those networks and due for a new plan anyway, Spark’s $900 is the easiest money to take. Whichever way you go, get the most you can for your old phone before you sign, because on a $4,199 phone the trade-in is where the real saving lives.

The iPhone Duo has no SIM tray anywhere in the world, because Apple used that space for battery instead. All three NZ networks support eSIM so the phone works fine here, but it does change two things.
First, moving your number across becomes a carrier process rather than popping a card out. Spark, One NZ and 2degrees can all transfer an eSIM from your current iPhone, and it’s quick if that phone already uses one. If you’re still on a physical SIM, you’ll be converting, which is painless but worth knowing about before you’re standing in the kitchen with a new phone and no signal.
Second, some of the smaller prepay brands and older business plans still don’t support eSIM at all. If that’s you, find out before you buy rather than after you’ve unboxed it.
